In 2007, my husband and I bought a 'Perfect Solutions' king-sized mattress set, (with requisite frame), from the 'Jaclyn Smith' line, (which is manufactured by 'King Koil'). It was a top-of-the-line mattress; we paid some $3,000-thousand dollars for it. It is an innerspring with both latex and foam.

Three years later, we still can't wait to get into bed. It has surpassed our expectations, and has proven to be worth every penny we spent... especially considering not only how much time one spends in bed sleeping, but the comfort upon arising sans backache, neckache, hip ache, etc.

Now, I'm not some naive consumer with tons of dough to blow. We did our homework, researching two years, before buying this bed. I can fully attest to the fact that 'Mattress-World' is the most fraudulent business in America today. There are NO regulations whatsoever when it comes to either the manufacture, or retail practices, of mattresses. I have been a party to numerous letters to various State Attorney's General and on, and on, and on regarding mattresses that don't live up to the claims the manufacturer's make, as well as the totally worthless 'warranties' that serve only as a protection for the manufacturers, not the consumers.

So... my advice is to shop, shop, shop... research, research, research... NEVER pay full price... keep all your paperwork... put a major pad on your bed to keep it from staining (we put a one-inch wool pad on ours)... and expect to pay some big-bucks for a really good bed. The days of spending a couple-hundred for a bed are long-gone, unless of course, you WANT to wake-up with a broken back. Good luck!

I bought an expensive King Koil mattress and I've had nothing but problems. from the first week our mattress sunk where my wife and I sleep. The company told us that the depression is natural and happens in all mattresses. It didn't matter that the "depression" was twice as deep where my 100 pound wife sleeps compared to where I sleep. Our backaches will not go away and the owner of king koil, whom I got on the phone said this was not a warrantee issue as it was normal use within tolerances. DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS!

Our Kingsdown mattress was great for the first few months. i have now absolutely had it. I cannot sleep, and wake up with neck and back pain constantly. My husband and i are normal sized people, although i am on the smaller side. They have built up the sides so much that we both just sink in the middle. i recommend you look elsewhere for a pillowtop mattress if you're on the search.

I absolutely love my Restonic mattress; my husband and I have been married for 15 years and now we can enjoy blissful sleep because of the "no sleeper roll together" feature of the Marvelous Middle.

I am sleeping on my 3rd Restonic mattress in 25 years and absolutely love the Ambleside. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. There is only one problem, I can't watch TV in it because the minute I lie down, I am asleep!!!

Bought a Miralux Rapture Queen size, and its beautiful...really didn't want to put sheets on it. The tufting is exquisite and plush. Sleep very well and would recomment it. The cost was inexpensive compared to the Serta, Sealy, Simmons etc. Enjoy the comfort!

Our Kingsdown mattress was the WORST mattress we EVER bought. It was comfortable for about 2 months, then it was ALL downhill after that. Neck pains, headaches, spinal pain, etc., had resulted in countless trips to our chiropractor over THIS mattress. Major sags, lumps, and overall poor construction plague this mattress. After almost 2 years we could no longer sleep on this mattress without tossing & turning during what felt like endless nights. Just prior to it's haul-away during the delivery of our new Simmons Beautyrest (awesome!), I cut this beast open with a utility knife to see how it was constructed. The interior pillowtop was inferior, the first 3" of interior padding was pretty much just "mush" (major material separation), covering over a highly inferior spring system, if that's what you'd call an inner spring system. Just NASTY. What's worst is the seller, Mattress Giant, took a "you bought it- you own it" attitiude within 3 weeks of it's purchase. Bottom line - don't get taken like we were, STAY AWAY from Kingsdown products and don't say you haven't been forewarned.

I am with d sloan. Both my husband and I wake up every morning stiff and sore. My lower back feels like I slept on the floor all night. This mattress holds in the body heat and wakes me up looking for a cooler spot. I regret paying for such an expensive mattress that feels like it is 20 years old. I wished I could take it back after 1 1/2 years of pain.

The reason the Dux mattress works so well is that it is supple enough to conform to the shape of your body. The reason it breaks so easily is that springs that can instantly conform to the shape of your body when you move are fragile. I have 4 broken springs in my Dux mattress. They protrude through the cover. The 20 year warranty is a pro-rated one.
